Guide
Designing a character that animates well
Characters that animate well have a clear silhouette, limbs that don't merge into the body, and one or two signature details that survive at small sizes: a red scarf, a big hat, a glowing weapon. Avoid long flowing robes and thin accessories at 32 px; they turn into noise in motion. Generate a few variations, pick the one with the strongest silhouette, and only then move on to animation.
Keeping a cast consistent
Games look professional when every character shares the same rules: proportions, outline color, shading direction and palette. Choose one style preset for the whole project and a fixed palette size, or upload your hero as a style reference for every new character. The generator then matches outline weight and color ramps, so an enemy made next week still looks like it belongs next to the hero you made today.
Views: side, top-down and isometric
Pick the camera your game uses before you generate. Side view suits platformers and fighting games, top-down suits RPGs and twin-stick shooters, and isometric suits strategy and tactics games. Top-down and isometric characters usually need 4 or 8 directions; the directions tool turns one character into a full turnaround that keeps the same design from every angle.
FAQ
Will the character look the same in every animation?
Yes. Animations are dressed onto your character from a reference, so the outfit, colors and proportions carry over. Palette locking keeps colors from drifting between frames.
Can I generate a character from a sketch?
Yes. Upload a rough drawing and describe it; the generator keeps your silhouette and pose and finishes it in the style you pick.
Can I make a consistent cast?
Use one style preset and a shared palette, or upload one finished character as a style reference for the rest.
